How to Prepare for Your Diving Lesson

Everything you need to know before your first dive

Before Your Course

  • Medical Requirements: Complete the PADI Medical Statement. Some conditions may require physician approval.
  • Physical Fitness: Basic swimming ability required - 200m swim and 10-minute float.
  • Age Requirements: Minimum age varies by course (10+ for Bubblemaker, 12+ for Junior Open Water, 15+ for Open Water).
  • Online Learning: Complete PADI eLearning modules at your own pace before arrival.

What to Bring

  • Documentation: Valid passport or ID, certification cards (if applicable), medical clearance (if required).
  • Personal Items: Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen (reef-safe), hat, sunglasses.
  • Comfort Items: Water bottle, snacks, change of clothes.
  • Optional: Underwater camera, logbook, personal mask/fins (if preferred).

What We Provide

  • All Equipment: Mask, fins, wetsuit, BCD, regulator, tanks, weights.
  • Learning Materials: PADI manuals, certification cards, temporary certificates.
  • Safety Equipment: First aid kit, emergency oxygen, communication devices.
